We believe this provides an opportunity for the most unique non-surgical, non-drug permanent relief from acute and chronic pain, for recovery from surgery and accidents, for improved performance, increased flexibility and ultimate cellular healing that is currently available anywhere in the country. In overly simple terms we combine a very specialized way of determining the unique and ideal alignment patterns of each individual in gravity (Rolfing/ Structural Integration) with the miracle-like benefits of system-wide changes in cellular physiology using the FDA Cleared Erchonia Low Level Cold Laser. This is the safest, most studied and most sophisticated low level cold laser in the world and its track record to date makes it the king of all lasers. Rolfing, as a whole body approach to well-being, is unique in the twenty-first century as the most influential and most often copied form of Structural Integration available. By combining these two ideas we have created a body of work that will let us compare our results with any claim on the market. I do want to acknowledge that the Chiropractic Physician who has advanced laser training utilizes these same linkages and creates a product that will also exceed results with any claim on the market.

The New Frontier

Any journey into a New Frontier begins with the first step. The first steps clearly were becoming a Certified Rolfer and then a Certified Advanced Rolfer. There are only a few hundred or so Certified Rolfer and Advanced Rolfers in the United States so we have never had a big impact because most people have no knowledge of who we are and what we do. By comparison there are over 17,000 licensed physical therapists in California alone. There are less than 40 Rolfers in the world that currently use the laser – and I have trained each one. The use of the laser was first pioneered by the former chair of the Rolf Institute Faculty, Dr. Jeffrey Maitland to whom I am indebted. The term Rolfing comes from the surname of Dr. Ida Rolf (1896-1979) who obtained her doctorate in biochemistry from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University. As a direct result of its unprecedented and unequaled ability to dramatically alter posture and structure, Rolfing can create greater ease of movement and enhance the overall functioning of the whole body. For you see, Dr. Rolf recognized that the body is inherently a system of seamless networks of tissues rather than a collection of separate parts. These connective tissues, called fascia, actually surround, support and penetrate all of the muscles, bones, nerves, organs and systems in the body. Rolfing works on this complex of fascia to release, realign and balance the whole body, thus resolving discomfort, reducing compensations and creating effortless movement. The sessions also target specific neuromuscular and musculoskeletal patterning in changing movement and behavior following Rolfing. When you combine Rolfing/Structural Integration with Laser Therapy you will never feel pain during the session and you can expect whole body changes at the deepest cellular levels. Every pain, large or small, acute or chronic involves the nervous system; from brain control issues to nerve inflammation to reduced nerve energy and resultant “weak muscles” to inefficient muscle firing patterns. These “nerve” issues are addressed by the laser and are the central reason for our results with acute and chronic pain. Claims about the laser are backed up by the FDA Clearance. Our claims are based on the collective experience of over 200,000 sessions combining the total experience of all Rolfers who use the laser. The stories of Rolfing and of Dr. Rolf’s creation and evolution are very interesting and worth the time to read. Just click on to access additional information. If you can imagine how it feels to live in a fluid, light, balanced body, free of pain, stiffness and chronic stress, at ease with itself and the gravitational field, then you will understand the purpose of our work. The objectives of your Rolfing sessions are (1) to determine, joint by joint and segment by segment, the alignment of your musculoskeletal system, (2) to determine the strain patterns that probably cause misalignment (the misalignments that cause pain and stress) and (3) to reduce or eliminate these strain patterns by working with connective tissue systems and the nervous system.
At age 16, I was told by a so called 'back specialist' that I would not be able to play competitive sports any longer due to my back injuries... and then I met Mark. He is the only reason I was able to play competitive ice hockey throughout high school, and go on to play collegiate baseball. Thank you for everything Mark, keep up the good work. ~Eric

All invention and progress comes from finding a link between two ideas that

have never met (T. Zeldon). In this case it is the combination of

Rolfing/Structural Integration with (Erchonia) Low Level Cold Laser Therapy.
